Katie and Bill
Bill Clinton was speaking at Myrtle Beach high School and my daughter was able to speak to him for a few moments. Her history teacher got Katie and her friend Juliana up to the front row. I wish I was there, as I like Mr. Clinton. That doesn't mean I am automatically voting for Hilary. I am leaning toward Edwards, mainly because of the debate, where he came out much more level-headed than Hilary and Obama, who were much more focused on mud slinging than dealing with the issues, in my opinion.

When Your Number's Up
When your number's up there's really not a damn thing you can do about it. When it's your time to go, you are most definitely going, whether or not you have packed a bag, booked a room, got right with God , succeeded in spending your child's inheritance voted in the primary, brushed your teeth, changed your underwear, checked your portfolio, raked the leaves, or anything at all. For all of our trying to be in control, ultimately, in regard to mortality, we have no control whatsoever. You can't request a late checkout, either. Live in light of that. And strive to travel light.

Chris Yale Podcast Episode 9. Mac Love.
Betsy and I take my in-law's dogs for a walk, and I ramble about my new MacBook Pro, and talk about plans for the coming year, with a little canine craziness on the mic.

Mac Love
I took the plunge and bought a MacBook Pro. I found a great deal on a refurbished unit at the Apple Store.
As it turns out, I think this one is brand new. This 15 inch book has the LCD vs the new LED screens. Apart from that there is no difference (except this is not the Santa Rosa Chip as far as I know, which has no bearing on my world at all). This purchase saved me $400.00, and I have a brand new machine that I absolutely love. The unit arrived Friday, and I have got around it quite well for a few days now. I have transferred all my relevant files to the machine, including my iTunes library of over 10,000 songs, and all my photos. My iPod works flawlessly as well. All I had to do was re format it for Mac. Before I did that it wasn't playing nice, but now it's perfect.
I think I'm in love. I can see this thing being a great tool for me in both computer work and audio production, of course!
